Before I start the post, I need to say that I have been loving the connection we have been building every week in this space—and sharing all these topics that usually are overwhelming me with you gives me a great feeling of share, resharing, and connecting.

My very first pic as TSL
Pic from when it was all in my mind still

And when I started my business, I was all in. I had the drive, the knowledge, and the belief that my passion alone would be enough to make it work. I spent hours perfecting my craft, excited to serve my audience.

But then… nothing.

I was working so hard, yet struggling to book clients consistently, price my offers confidently, and make my business sustainable. And it wasn’t because I wasn’t skilled enough—it was because passion, while powerful, isn’t a business strategy.

After that realization I was in a empty space, trying to understanding where I was lacking, and how I could get it fixed. Asap. Like, really urgently.

So the obvious became clear like crystal:

Why Passion Is Just the Starting Point

Passion is what drives you to start. It’s the reason you create, the fuel behind your work. But passion alone doesn’t:

❌ Guarantee clients will find you

❌ Teach you how to market your offers

❌ Help you price your work sustainably

❌ Create systems that allow you to grow without burning out

For so long, I believed that because I loved what I did, everything else would fall into place. But what I actually needed was clarity, strategy, and structure.

What’s Missing: The Business Foundation You Need

If you’re pouring your heart into your work but not seeing the growth you want, here’s what might be missing:

1️⃣ Clear Positioning & Messaging – If people don’t understand what you do and how you help, they won’t buy. You need a clear brand message that communicates your value.

2️⃣ Sustainable Pricing & Offers – Undercharging because you “just love doing it” leads to burnout. Your business should support you, not just the other way around.

3️⃣ Marketing That Works for You – Relying on word-of-mouth or posting randomly won’t cut it. You need a system to attract and nurture the right clients.

4️⃣ Boundaries & Systems – Passion doesn’t replace structure. If your business is consuming all your time, you’ll start resenting what you once loved.

And when I started my business, I was all in. I had the drive, the knowledge, and the belief that my passion alone

The Shift That Changed Everything for Me

Of course, the mindset shift took time. I had to actually learn all these other skills—the ones I once hoped I’d never need. I mean, who really enjoys reaching out to strangers, hoping they’ll be eager to learn more about you and your business, right?! It was terrifying for me—especially doing it in a language that wasn’t my native one while building my network almost entirely from scratch…

But once I stopped relying on passion alone and started treating my business like a business, everything changed.

✔️ I got clearer on who I was helping and how

✔️ I started pricing my work in a way that felt good and sustainable

✔️ I created a marketing system that brought in consistent leads

✔️ I built structure into my workday so I wasn’t constantly overwhelmed

And the best part? I didn’t lose my passion—I protected it.

If you’re stuck in the “I love what I do, but I can’t seem to grow” phase, it’s not because you’re not passionate enough. It’s because passion needs a strategy to thrive.

Passion got you started, but strategy will help you grow. What’s one area in your business where you feel stuck right now? Drop a comment or DM me—I’d love to hear your thoughts!
